PENUEL ARCADE UPDATE

We are beginning refurbishment works on Penuel Arcade, working from the entrance on Church Street. Works are underway to replace the single door entrance with accessible double glazed doors. Updated branding and signage will follow.

JOSIE'S ARTISAN PATISSERIE AND DELI

The complete refurbishment of a traditional butchers to a modern deli and patisserie located in the Food Hall. The design includes the addition of bar style seating for those that like to linger. Come and taste the healthy nourish salad bowls, sandwiches and fresh smoothies and juices. Treat yourself to a moreish dessert all created with the finest fresh ingredients next time you're in the market.

PENUEL CAFE

Creation of a brand new unit for a new cafe located in the Penuel Arcade. The new cafe has both indoor and 'outdoor - al fresco style' seating available. Come a taste their new breakfast and lunch menu next time you're in the market.

THE MARKET GARDEN

Complete refurbishment of former fruit and vegetable unit in the Farmers Market area of the Market Quarter. The new new 'Market Garden' utilises crates for displaying the fruit and veg and a beautiful wooden interior and facade.

THE THAI CAFE

The Thai Cafe underwent a rebranding process and all the exterior facade has been upgraded to a wood cladding with bamboo fencing creating al fresco Thai experience to compliments the fantastic Thai cuisine served in one of Pontypridd's most popular eateries.

SOUL SPICE

Complete refurbishment of former Polish unit for new stall Soul Spice. Soul Spice added new lighting, signage, display shelves and counter for their fresh, soul satisfying vegetarian and vegan foods and refreshments.

JANET'S CHINESE

Formerly the Rainbow Cafe; 'Janet's Chinese' is now a modern mix of western and oriental design. Panoramic windows on top of an oak cladded exterior with external and internal seating give it a real authentic Northern Chinese feel. Janet's name in Chinese is showcased in raised lettering on a slate cladded feature wall.

BEVANS BUTCHERS

Established in 1953 and one of the market's longest standing market traders. Bevan's Butchers recent upgrade to their unit included an addition of a glass box where passerby can watch sausages being made fresh every day. Modern glazing, a new facade and their new logo and company name raised on a wooden cladding was also added during the improvements.
